A luxury tourist train run by Indian Railways, The Royal Rajasthan on Wheels is modelled on the first luxury train the Palace on Wheels, launched in January 2009. It runs on a similar route as Palace on Wheels, it starts from New Delhi's Safdarjung railway station and covers Jodhpur, Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Ranthambore National Park, Jaipur, Khajuraho, Varanasi and Sarnath, Agra and back to Delhi. It is named after some erstwhile royal palace of Rajasthan. Its 14 cabins are fully equipped with all the 5-star luxury amenities along with a glimpse of Royalty as the names of a few cabins of the train represent the glorious history of India such as Hawa Mahal, Padmini Mahal, Kishori Mahal, Phool Mahal and Super Deluxe Coach Taj Mahal.

Have your breakfast in the morning and start our beautiful day by visiting the local sightseeing of New Delhi and Old Delhi which includes - the Gandhi Memorial at Raj Ghat, President House, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Humayun’s Tomb, Lotus Temple & Qutub Minar, India Gate. At 9:00 p.m. you will be welcomed with royal tradition by garlanding, tikka, and welcome drinks before boarding the train. Royal Rajasthan on Wheels Tour will start from the Safdarjung in Delhi. Have your breakfast and proceed sightseeing in Jodhpur where you can visit The Mehrangarh Fort which was built by Rao Jodha in 1459. This fort is witness to the lavish and royal history of Rathore. Also visit the Pearl Palace and the Umaid Vilas which are well known for Rajput miniature paintings, where musical instruments and royal traditional wear are also displayed. Then you can go for local handicrafts shopping in Jodhpur. Dinner will be served on board.

Tourist Attractions: Crystal Palace, Lake Pichola, Chittorgarh Fort
Have your breakfast and visit the beautiful palaces of Udaipur. Then take lunch on the train and continue our tour to Crystal Palace, famous for crystal furniture and antique pieces. Then we will go for Boat Riding on the Lake Pichola which is one of the most famous popular tourist attractions of Udaipur. After exploring this princely palace, board the train in the afternoon experience the Chittorgarh kingdom, and visit the Chittorgarh Fort, one of the largest forts of India. The architecture and styles are of Rajputana. Visit the palace and explore the beauty of the palace. Take your lunch in the afternoon. Then back to the train and dinner will be served on the Train.

Tourist Attractions: Ranthambhore National Park, Amber Fort, City Palace
Have your breakfast and visit the Ranthambhore National Park which is about 14 Kms from Sawai Madhopur. There visit the great fort of Ranthambore at the top of the Aravalli hill. This National Park is reserved for Royal Tigers. Then you will take for jungle safari inside the National Park. Be lucky to find out Tigers and other species. And also you can enjoy bird watching inside the forest. Later morning, we will explore the pink city ‘Jaipur’ and proceed to Amber Fort and City Palace Complex. Take an elephant ride at Amber Fort. Then return to the train for a brief rest.

Tourist Attractions: Kandariya Mahadev Temple, Western Group of Temples, Southern group of temples
Have your breakfast and arrive at Khajuraho. Then visit the world heritage sites of Khajuraho Temples. Kandariya Mahadev Temple is the largest amongst the temples. Visit the three groups - the Western Group of Temples at Khajuraho, and after lunch, we will visit the Southern group of temples. Have your evening tea on the train and take a rest. You will be served dinner on the train and at 20:00 pm we will depart for Varanasi.

Have your breakfast and arrive at Varanasi excellent city famed for its ghats alongside the River Ganges. You can go boat riding in the morning and experience the beautiful ghats on the River Ganges. Return to your Royal Rajasthan on Wheels Train for breakfast and take some rest. Later we will proceed for an excursion tour to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Sarnath. Return to the train and have your lunch and take some rest. In the evening, attend the Aarti on the river Ganges. You will be served dinner onboard and depart for Agra City.

Have your breakfast in the morning and arrive in Agra. Then leave for Agra where the most beautiful and one of the seven wonders of the world is sited. It was built by Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Then visit Agra Fort. Explore the Mughal city. You can go for world-famous marble shopping in your leisure time. You will be served dinner onboard and depart for Delhi.
