Sundarbans, a place where soil meets the ocean, located in the south of West Bengal. Sundarbans is the largest Tiger Reserve and National Park of India and is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Sundarbans is a heaven for birdwatchers and Jungle aficionados. The Sundarbans are a part of the one of the world`s biggest river basins created by the holy rivers Ganges, Brahmaputra and Meghna in the Bay of Bengal. It is amongst the most attractive and fascinating places enduring on earth, a truly un-discovered glory.
On arrival at Sundarbans we will obtain the requisite Forest permissions you will be transferred from Godhkhali Jetty by a motor boat to your pre-booked hotel located in the Sundarbans Islands. It will be around Hour and half ride and will take you down the different rivers of Sundarbans. On your arrival at your Hotel, check-in and relax. After Lunch, we will leave for a motor boat ride to the Sundarbans National Park. There will be stopover at Sajnekhali Watchtower to closely view the wildlife and also visit to the Sajnekhali Museum and Mangrove Interpretation center. After Breakfast, you will proceed for a full day cruise through the criss-cross Rivers and narrow creeks of Sundarbans National Park. During the day you will visit the various watchtowers of Sundarbans such as Sudhanyakhali, Neti Dhopani and Do Banki. Lunch will be served onboard. At Neti Dhopani, a sweet water pond fascinates lot of wild animals and gives you an opportunity to intimately view the wildlife. You will also see the ruins of 400 years old Temple in Neti Dhopani. Today you will enjoy the adventure of sailing through the Amazon of India and would also touch the islands of Sundarbans Tiger Project Area. At the end of the day, return to your Hotel and relax. After Breakfast, we will walk to the local village to learn about the villagers experience in the forest.
