Borivali National Park also claims to be the largest park in the world located within city limits, rocks, and grasses. Surrounded by dense forests it is known for amazing bird life, butterflies, and a very small population of tigers.
Located in Panvel Taluka of Raigad District in Maharastra, The Karnala Bird Sanctuary is known for bird watchers and hikers in the Mumbai area. It is home to more than 150 species of residents and 37 species of migratory birds that visit the sanctuary during winter. The Karnala fort is located on the top of the hill in the sanctuary.
